MassAccess Webinar: Community Civic Tools

Have you thought about making public meetings more accessible? Do you cover public meetings at your station? Do you engage your community in ways that involve public meetings?

Join us in Zoom on November 5th at 12:00pm to learn about two specific tools and discuss how they can impact our work in community media related to civic engagement and covering public meetings.

SeeGov – Civic creators and journalists can turn unaltered source video into short social clips or longer highlight reels, much like sports highlights. Reporters can also use the meeting library without making videos. By sharing tools and processing each meeting once, SeeGov builds a common archive that reduces duplicated work and supports reporting across jurisdictions, without each newsroom needing to build and maintain the same technology.

Public Record Studio – Gives residents the ability to create their own newspaper articles and video highlight reels from the data and video of public meetings broadcast on public access TV stations — turning the public record into local news.
