SUMMARY: The Government Meeting Stringer position reports to the Government Services
Manager and provides meeting coverage of local government meetings using The Local
Seen/Town equipment and as assigned. This per diem position requires a flexible schedule for
meeting coverage which occurs in the main Mondays through Thursdays between 4:00P – 9:00
PM, with some variability. The Government Meeting stringer will receive a schedule weekly from
the Government Services Manager. Compensation includes one hour set-up and fifteen minutes
breakdown in addition to the variable length of each government meeting. The Government
Meeting Stringer completes technical set-up and testing with the Local Seen staff at the studio.
The Local Seen is a Public, Education, and Government community media center serving the
towns of Duxbury, Kingston, Pembroke & Plymouth.
$21.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Live or recorded audio/video coverage of government meetings in Plymouth, Pembroke,
Kingston, or Duxbury as assigned.
• Technical set-up and testing of equipment
• Communication Working with the Local Seen staff on both an administrative and
technical basis.

EDUCATION/RELATED EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent. Related experience and/or training a plus but not
required. Will train motivated and reliable candidate. Familiarity with PEG access station
operations is a plus but not required.
GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Flexibility to work primarily weeknights
• Demonstrated experience or willingness to learn Vmix/Tricasters.
• An essential understanding of virtual meeting platforms including Zoom.
• Technological flexibility in working with a variety of audio and video elements.
• Willing to learn camera and studio equipment.
• Must have own transportation.
• Ability to follow the Local Seen procedures in-field or in-house.
• Experience working with a diverse group of people.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with government meeting coverage and procedures.
