The Production Manager is an experienced leader and media professional on Swansea Community Network staff. They lead the creation, management, and implementation of multimedia content, ensuring it effectively communicates messages and engages target audiences across various platforms. They are responsible for overseeing Swansea Community Networks production process, supervising the Production Coordinator, being a role model for staff, volunteers, and interns, and ensuring high-quality productions within the guidelines presented by the Director of Operations. Under the guidance of the Director of Operations, this role sets the standard for the visual style, usability, and overall quality of productions and their associated assets, ensuring they align with Swansea Community Network’s reputation for excellence. The candidate oversees the production process, ensuring all deadlines are met, and reviews edits from staff, volunteers, and interns, providing detailed feedback and re-edit recommendations. This position also manages SCN’s social media accounts, regularly posting content, monitoring audience engagement, and adjusting outreach strategies based on performance insights. The role involves uploading and scheduling content across Swansea Community Network’s three standard-definition cable channels, while actively monitoring broadcasts on Comcast to ensure quality and consistency. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a consistent cablecast schedule for recurring productions, updating content weekly across the Public, Education, and Government channels. Duties also include recording and editing SCN productions and select community events as needed or assigned, as well as providing regular coverage of town government meetings. Positions opened until filled.
