Position Summary:

Supports the organization in its mission of “inspiring the Nantucket community to explore ideas, share information, and highlight the island’s people, stories, and culture through local television and online programming.

We're looking for somebody who is a gifted visual storyteller. Somebody with strong organizational and time management skills. Someone who can work with a team but also independently. Ability to direct all aspects of video production from speaking with clients, scheduling, storyboarding, filming, editing, to the final delivery. You should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story. This role accomplishes this by producing small to major projects.

Coverage of virtual and live events. They can work under pressure while still meeting their deadlines. This organization requires a team member who can work at a fast pace when needed and handle multiple projects at the same time.

Remains up to date with new editing technologies and the industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency and quality.

Generates ideas for original programming individually and through collaboration with teammates.

Practices the organization’s quality standards in all aspects of filming, teaching, editing, etc.

Meets organizational standards while still delivering work by project target dates.

Provides support to the Executive Director in other areas and projects as needed.

Education coordinator. This involves sourcing instructors for the adult education classes, figuring out calendar dates and times for the classes, writing descriptions of the classes, and updating the website with the information.

Assist in teaching the organization’s Whaler Media (high school students) and Whaler Media Junior (middle school students) programs that occur each year in the winter and the spring. Also teaches the Teen View program. writing curriculums for youth and adult classes. Also, assists with The New School & Cyprus Middle School TV Production programs.

Requirements:

Solid proficiency in Adobe Premiere
5+ years Video Editing experience.
Experience with After Effects and Photoshop.
Experience with Shooting Video and Recording Audio.
Experience with basic Color Correction.
Proficient with Mac computers
Proficient with Google Office
Familiarity with OBS, ZOOM, Wirecast software
Ability to learn the basics of operating audio/visual software and hardware.
Proficient with Mac Computers
Great organizational skills
Great communicational skills to represent NCTV to the Town of Nantucket
Flexibility to work during a wide range of times
Administer one-on-one technology support to students
Assist in developing a curriculum for and teach education classes and multiple sides of the education department
Work collaboratively with our education partners
Proficient with Mac computers
Proficient with Google Office
Experience with Shooting Video and Recording Audio

Job Types: Full-time 40 hours

Pay:  $25.00 per hour plus benefits
