Dracut Access Television, Inc. is the town of Dracut's designated 501 (c)3 non-profit Public, Education & Government access provider and seeks to add a new team member to our talented staff!  DATV features a new 4,200 sq. ft. state-of-the-art television media center that we built out in 2019 which is located in the historic Beaver Brook Mill in Dracut, MA.  Our facility features 2 studios and control rooms, edit suites, podcasting, as well as our kitchen cooking studio.  We have some 17 regularly occurring program series produced both in-studio and in the field as well as live coverage of several town board meetings.  We also feature monthly television production "beginner" workshops, monthly podcast workshops, as well as several Kids TV Camps throughout the year!  Our recently upgraded multi-camera mobile production van enables staff and members to produce many sports and special events in stunning 4k quality!

Title: Production Technician
Reports to: Operations Manager
Part Time (25hrs/week)

Description:
The Production Technician reports directly to the Operations Manager and works closely with the
entire DATV staff to ensure that all daily operations of Dracut Access Television, Inc. are
maintained to the highest possible standards. The Operations Manager is the first point of contact
for all normal day to day operational questions and concerns.

Qualifications:
-Must have either a degree in Communications or related field, or equivalent experience
-Experience in all aspects of digital video production in both studio and field environments
-Post-production experience with non-linear edit systems a must, Final Cut Pro experience a plus
-Ability to work well independently as well as being a great team player
-Possess good people skills when dealing with DATV members and the general public
-Social Media, New media, and graphics arts experience such as Photoshop is a plus

Responsibilities:
-Oversee daily programming & monitor its playback on our digital server system
-Support members with studio, field, and live municipal productions, providing additional training
as needed.
-Creation and support of staff-produced programming specials and series
-Crew and train volunteer members on Mobile Van Production operations
-Upload all staff/member-produced content to DATV Edit Share Archive
-Monitor & track equipment check-out and return
-Update/create electronic Community Bulletin board messages
-Update DATV website content
-Update/create other DATV promotional materials
-Update DATV Video on Demand
-Update DATV social media pages such as Facebook
-Upload content as necessary to DATV's YouTube page
-Perform other duties as required by the facility, including, but not limited to, facilities upkeep
-Other duties as assigned
