The Production & Media Manager will facilitate video productions at ACMi and will produce media to enhance the ACMi presence in the Town of Arlington. This will include the ACMi website and social media. This position will report to the Operations Manager and the Executive
Primary Responsibilities
- Pro-actively works with community partners to create and produce content.
- Assist ACMi member producers in all aspects of studio, field production and editing.
- Manage and maintain the ACMi presence on all social media sites.
- Manage the ACMi website.
Position Duties
- Collaborate with the Communications Manager on outreach materials.
- Build community awareness of ACMi’s facilities, media services, membership, and production services.
- Recruit, manage, and train production assistants, interns and volunteers.
- Collaborate with staff on productions and events.
- Teach workshops for members and interns in production and editing techniques.
- Participate in shared equipment, management procedures.
- Makes equipment reservations, performs equipment check-out and check-in.
- Evening and some weekend work is required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Media Arts/Television or four years of progressively responsible relevant experience in a media production environment.
- Experience with cable access operations preferred.
- Teaching experience, primarily in small-group, hands-on technical training.
- Ability to engage a variety of individuals and diverse groups in a positive learning environment.
- Professional, diplomatic and tactful communication skills. Friendly and adaptable. ● Functions well under time pressures. Capable of working independently. ● Excellent presentation and communications skills in both public and classroom settings.
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a highly cooperative team.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
