EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: The Program Coordinator’s primary function is to schedule and organize the programming for the Public Access Television station’s Public, Education and Government Access channels. Schedule daily programs and associated meta data ensuring a smooth system for cable casting of programs and Video on Demand. Record Municipal meetings as scheduled and assist with the recording of Annual and/or Special Town Meetings. Serve as the central delivery point for all incoming programs to be scheduled on the channels, working with producers and “imported” program contacts. Work with volunteers on creating program proposals to be presented to Station Director. Schedule crew members and talent for recordings as necessary.
MIN. QUALIFICATIONS:AAS Degree or two years Vocational/technical school in video production. Ability to operate TV, video editing and computer equipment. Experience in public access television programming preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Requires considerable knowledge in public, educational and governmental access programming. Must be proficient in use of computers including Microsoft Office Applications, possess writing and editing skills, and be exceptionally organized.
LOCATION: Public Access TV Studio (“Little Red Schoolhouse”), 28 Springfield Street
SALARY: $19.52 per hour, 19 flexible hours per week, includes some evenings, weekends and/or holiday work; limited benefits;
