PACTV, a Plymouth Area Community Access Television station is currently seeking applicants for the paid position of Government Meeting Stringer. A stringer will be responsible for supporting and monitoring televised gavel to gavel coverage of local government board and committee meetings in the four communities we serve of Duxbury, Kingston, Pembroke and Plymouth. These meetings take place in Town Halls or other municipal buildings.
This position is on an assigned board or committee basis where stringers are assigned to a specific meeting in a specific town, primarily weeknights Monday through Thursday with the occasional day or weekend when needed. Generally, the availability is from 5:30 PM until 9:30 PM. Sometimes meetings start earlier or end later. Stringers will be representing the organization and must exhibit the following: professionalism, ability to troubleshoot, solid communication skills, and an understanding of live television. Stringer must be the age of 18+ and have their own transportation. Audio/Video or visual experience preferred but will train the right candidate with specific training.
