WEBINAR – Mastering the Art of Television Programming – and Why it’s Still Important.

March 21 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Free

Everyone wants to be streaming. Gotta have live content on the internet…gotta have content available on demand. But community media was founded on cable television technology, and that technology is not quite dead. A quick search will tell you that somewhere around half of US households still subscribe to cable. Yes, as residents get older they’re more likely to cling to the older technology – around 20% of US residents in their 20s subscribe to cable, while nearly 55% of folks 65 and over subscribe. But the issue stays the same: why are so many of us seemingly indifferent about how half of our audience views our content? Cable channels are becoming an after-thought, a dumping ground.

In this webinar, we’ll discuss not only why you should care about traditional cable channels, but also how to improve your scheduling from the very basics to the more advanced techniques. From planning to promotion, we’ll cover the techniques you’ll need to put together attractive content lineups in less time than you might think. Representatives from Castus, Cablecast and TelVue will be in attendance to answer questions about your specific workflow.

The workshop is FREE, but we would certainly accept small donations through the online portal if you are so inclined. Please get a ticket and the zoom link will be emailed to participants the week of the event.
