NOB North of Boston Gatherings

Thank you all for your feedback regarding the proposal for future NOB (North of Boston) gatherings. As the proposal suggested, NOB can take on a life of its own without any one individual investing a great amount of time. Hosting and promoting a gathering requires very little time yet benefits many.
At this time, I have developed a very basic web page that includes a brief history, a suggested “to do” list for host sites and potential dates for future meetings (based around avoiding conflicts with ACM, Massaccess, NATOA, NAB, etc), but are in no way meant to dictate meeting dates; they are simply suggestions. You may visit the web page at www.batvinc.org/node/43 or visit www.batvinc.org and click on “NOB Page” under “NOB” on the lower right hand side of BATV’s home page.
As noted on the web page, if you would like to host a gathering, simply respond to sam.batv@comcast.net and soon thereafter, the page will be updated with your hosting information as well as an email sent to past NOB gathering attendees sharing your announcement. Your participation will determine the future of these gatherings.
On another note, for those of you who track facility / equipment reservations using Facil, I am curious if you have been experiencing any problems or oddities since upgrading to Facil 5.0? Please reply by email or give me a call to discuss.
If anyone has additional comments or suggestions, please advise. And don’t forget to volunteer to host a gathering!
