FESTIVAL EVENING AWARD CEREMONIES

The National Basketball Hall of Fame is hosting this year's FALL VIDEO FESTIVAL AWARDS on Saturday, November 12. Everyone is invited to cheer on the First Place Winners of the Program awards and the Special Leadership Awards as they make their acceptance speeches. Second and Third place winners will have their names announced and receive their certificates from ACM-NE Board members on the side of the stage. Photo ops for all!

The doors will open at 6:30 pm with a reception in the beautiful marble lobby. Refreshments from Max's and a cash bar will be available. The awards will be given out starting at 7:15 pm in the state of the art Theatre where clips of the winners will be displayed on a large screen. Keith Thibault returns for another year as Master of Ceremonies.

Over the last few years, the Video Festival has become an event for everyone, whether they have won an award this time around or not.
The ACM-NE Board has been working with Caroline Cunningham of Wilbraham Public Access to put together a great slate of workshops for Saturday, November 12. The workshops will be held at:

Registration will open at noon. The event will be kicked off by Linda Fuller Ph.D. with a presentation entitled: "Moving to multi-platform formats: An update on local, national, and international community media movements". She is the author of several books including "Community Media: International Perspectives" in 2007.
Sessions at 1 pm
"Digital Tapeless Workflow in an Access Environment" presented by Chip Gorra, The Camera Company.
"My Favorite Video or Audio Gizmo, Thingabob, Whatsamadoodle, Kachinga or Software" presented by Peter Pijoan from Wolfeboro (NH) Community Television and Nick Ring of CTSB Community Television of Southern Berkshires.
Sessions at 3 pm
"The Complete Picture: Streaming Your Station" presented by Al Williams, Northampton Community Television, Jim Lescault of Amherst Media & others.
"Promoting Your Show: Social Media and Beyond" presented by Michelle Houle and Dan Brennan of Methuen Community Television, Bill Nay of mymasstv, a representative of CMDN and more!
